It's Emperor Norton Day, the 135th anniversary of the Emperor's passing on 8 January 1880.
This afternoon, The Emperor's Bridge Campaign* left a flower and a note at the Emperor's grave in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Colma, Calif.

The bottle of Anchor Steam to the right still was cold when we got there. When we stopped in to raise a glass (Jameson's) at Molloy's, a half-hour later, we learned that we'd just missed the fellow who bought the bottle there.
